Chief
Instructor - Sensei Brock Vickerson
The chief instructor of the Dojo is
Sensei Brock Vickerson. Sensei Vickerson received his
Godan (5th degree black belt) from Master YAGI Meitatsu Hanshi Judan on February 8th.,
2004. He has been teaching Meibukan Goju-ryu Karate-do in the Sherwood
Area since 1989 and has
traveled many times across Canada, the United States and multiple times to
Okinawa to learn and research knowledge of Goju-ryu Meibukan. In 1998 he
co authored the first English text on Meibukan with Sensei Carl A. Wheeler
and Master YAGI Meitetsu Hanshi entitled Okinawan Karate-do Gojyu-Ryu

Assistant
Instructor - Senpai Norma Vickerson
Assisting periodically in instructional duties is Senpai Norma
Vickerson. Senpai Norma received her Sandan (3rd degree black belt) on
January 1st, 2007. She has trained in Okinawa on 3 separate occasions,
and has received direct instruction from Dai Sensei Meitoku YAGI in
1995. She has been training since 1991. |
Wednesday / Fridays from 6 to 7 pm.

Instructor - Senpai Simon Mackie
Also
assisting periodically is Senpai Simon Mackie. Mackie Senpai earned
his Sandan (3rd degree black belt) on
August 4th, 2008. He has travelled twice to Okinawa and plans to
return in 2012. He has recently graduated from Memorial University
with a degree in Music. |

Instructor - Senpai Margaret Horne
Usually
conducting the Sunday Night open class is Senpai Margaret Horne. She
has been a member of the dojo since 1991. Margaret has travelled to
Okinawa in 2006 and plans to back in 2012. She successfully achieved
her Sandan December 31st, 2009. |
