It was such an
honour to host YAGI Sensei for 4 weeks. We had a great time
training, sharing stories, and of course an extra highlight of his
trip was making music!!!!!!!!!

 |
|
Did I mention this place had a view!!! After every class we would
finish off with the classic Meibukai Shumatsu-undo!!
|
 |
|
What
a surprise it was to see Sensei Carl Wheeler and family on the
Saturday of the camp. Alec and Julia have grown so much since the
last time I saw them.

Sensei Paul Aniceto has come to PEI I think 4 or 5 times for
Meibukai functions, with a pure heart and a will to succeed, Paul is
the total Meibukai package!! Here Danielle Horne delivers a nice mae
keri!

Brian Langendock first came to the 2003 PEI Gassyukku as a
spectator, after a great experience, his friend Sensei Joe Puccia
convinced him to try it out, now 5 years later he wears the
Kuro-obi! Here he is mixing it up with our very own little BIG man,
Tony Gao.

|
Saturday afternoon, we all headed to Liz and Jays house to view a
showing of KURO-OBI, This is such a powerful film... For some of us,
it had a deep emotional impact! Right Tim!! |

YAGI
Sensei is here explaining the finer points of conditioning the fore
arm. Looking on is Sensei Steve Lyons and Sensei Tim Quance. Both
Sensei Steve and Sensei Tim will be travelling to B.C. to train with
Master YAGI Meitatsu the beginning of August.

Renzoku Kumite......... many students left the weekend with lots of
memories and bruises. Lisa Carruthers is one of my very first
students from the early 90s. She now teaches and runs the music dept
for a private school in Pickering Ontario.

Another long-time MKD student, Margaret Horne is assisting KOHATA,
Kiyoko of Tokyo, Japan. Kohata-san is inspired by the Meibu-kai
teachings of the YAGI Family. Her dream she said is to have YAGI,
Akihito sensei open a Meibukai Dojo in Tokyo.
